I work at the Westwood Club and someone brought by a box of these ribbons for us to give out to the community. I love to crochet so they piqued my interest and as I understood what they were for, I was moved by the cause so I displayed a few at my window so members could take one as they passed by. Since I had them displayed in front of me, during my downtime I frequently looked at the back and read/learned about CFS and even spent some of my shift looking it up online. I grabbed a ribbon for myself and clipped it to my backpack. Not only do I now have a template for any future crochet ribbon endeavors, but now I also feel a part of something much bigger! Thank you for bringing these by and spreading awareness!
I found my ribbon propped up on the check in desk at my doctor’s office. I was there to pick up some paperwork for my upcoming disability hearing. I was diagnosed with POTS and ME/CFS 4 years ago after a bad immune response to the Covid vaccine. I am meeting with the disability judge in 17 days. This ribbon gives me hope. It lets me know that I am not alone. Thank you!
