HealthCare.gov coverage (unless listed below all other states and territories enroll through the federal platform) Note: Some states, like Arkansas, Illinois, and Oregon, operate their own marketplaces but use the federal platform for enrollment.
✅ Plan Types
Qualified Health Plan (QHP), any plan that meets ACA standards, sold through an ACA marketplace.
Individual or Family Plan purchased on your own (not through an employer or Medicaid), especially if you used a website like HealthCare.gov or your state’s exchange.
Silver / Bronze / Gold / Platinum Plan, ACA plans are categorized by these metal tiers, depending on cost and coverage levels.
✅ If You Got:
Premium Tax Credits to lower your monthly payment, you are in an ACA plan.
Cost-Sharing Reductions (CSRs) that reduce out-of-pocket costs, also means you’re in an ACA plan.
A 1095-A tax form from the IRS, that form only applies to ACA Marketplace coverage.
If you applied through a state-based site instead of HealthCare.gov, you still have ACA insurance.
